Electrical Power System Study Engineer
Responsibilities of this role:

Gather required data from the customer through effective communications (email, phone, and video).

Build and analyze the electrical power system models using SKM PowerTools software (training provided).

Complete comprehensive power system studies, including short circuit, protective device coordination, arc flash, and load flow analyses.

Perform medium and low voltage electrical systems analysis for projects, ensuring
adherence to NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) and NESC (National Electrical
Safety Code) standards. -
Implement IEEE standards for power systems engineering to ensure best practices
in system protection, reliability, and safety. -
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure project success and knowledge sharing.

Maintain a strong understanding of electrical power systems concepts through
continuous learning. -
Attend educational workshops, review professional publications, establish personal
networks, and participate in professional societies to maintain professional and
technical knowledge. -
Maintain professional licenses, as appropriate
To be successful, you'll ideally have:
-
Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited institution in electrical engineering or a related engineering field.

Experience with power system analysis software a plus.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
-
Excellent attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Effective communication and collaboration skills.
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-
Passed the FE or intent to do so if you want to pursue the PE.
